All About Me...
Dr. ZeVida A. Holman is a life-long resident of Memphis, TN, but currently resides in Xiamen, China. Her writing career emerged after she completed her dissertation in December 2014. Dr. Holman decided to transform her research on First Generation African American College Students into her first self-published book - So You Call Yourself A Counselor? High School Counselors' Impact on First-Generation African American College Students' Post-Secondary Aspirations.
She has a doctorate in counseling education from The University of Memphis as well as an education specialist degree in school counseling. She is the Secondary Counselor at Xiamen International School, a Licensed School Counselor, a National Certified Counselor and Life Coach with over 10 years of experience as a counselor educator and consultant. Dr. Holman's son and daughter often joke with her about being the "smartest person" they know. She loves learning and is currently working on several projects.
